Team 1 of the youth group is a provincial and municipal representative team, and the participating players are limited to the athletes of the CBA, NBL, WCBA clubs registered with the Chinese Basketball Association from 2016 to 2017, and their affiliated youth teams and youth teams of various sports bureaus. However, the teams that have entered the top 8 of the National Games basketball games are only allowed to participate in the National Games basketball finals except the 12-man roster.
The youth group 2 and the open group are the social representative teams. The participating teams can be teams from cities, clubs, enterprises and institutions, and colleges and universities. The participating athletes must not be professional athletes registered with the Chinese Basketball Association from 2016 to 2017.
